It addresses learning actively versus passively and how genders learn differently due to their intellectual and physical developmental differences.
This is just one view from a professor at Notre Dame giving some insight into his views on some of these highly debatable topics. Just like all topics in education, there are several facets of learning, including the learning styles of each individual student that need to be looked into more and more to see if they are ultimately positively or negatively affecting students.
